Latest Updates from Our Project:

No — you haven’t missed shipping
4 months ago – Sun, Apr 12, 2026 at 08:07:36 AM

A lot of you are asking:

“Where is my lock?”

“Did I miss shipping?”

“Why did others receive theirs?”

“I moved — where do I update my address?”

“Can I buy accessories?”

let’s clear this up

You have NOT missed anything.

Full backer shipping has NOT started yet.

What has gone out so far is to early backers who signed up to test.

We asked for testers — some of you raised your hands — and we sent locks.

That’s it.

It is not full fulfilment.

You will receive a survey to:

Confirm your current address

Choose your lock color

Add accessories if you want

If you’ve moved — no problem.

You’ll update your address in the survey.

Why shipping hasn’t started

We are still waiting for final tracking approval.

Until that is done:

The app is not in the App Store

We are not allowed to disclose what it is.

The locks are produced, but they still need to be flashed with firmware before they can ship —and that step depends on this approval.

So yes — this is still blocking everything.

What’s happening right now

The testers are helping us with real-world use:

Setup

Sharing

Everyday use

Stuff you only really catch once it’s out there.

That part is already useful.

The good part

Some of you are already using your locks.

After everything — delays, redesigns, certifications.

The product works.

It’s out there.

It’s being used on actual bikes.

And the feedback we’re getting is exactly what we hoped for.

We know it’s April.

We know many of you wanted your lock before bike season.

That part is frustrating — for you and for us.

But this is the point where it shifts from

“will this ever ship?”

to

“When will mine arrive?”

Behind the scenes

This wait  is frustrating.

For most of my life, I’ve been running a building company.

And in the last months, I’ve taken on some projects again here in Copenhagen.

Because I’d rather be out creating real value and keeping things moving than sitting around waiting.

Tin has been running everything from China — logistics, shipping, coordination —

and three weeks ago, she had a baby.

So yes — it’s been a bit of everything at once.

What happens next

As soon as tracking approval is in place:

We send out the survey

You confirm your details

Final assembly is completed

Full shipping starts

Thanks for sticking with us.

We owe you a proper update — it’s coming.

This one is just to get early testers up and running.

I’ve been getting a lot of messages from you eager early testers — exciting times!

Tin, who handles shipping, gave birth 3 weeks ago — so things have been a bit hectic. Big congratulations to her.

We’re still waiting for final tracker approval.

Danish backers

The locks made it out. Barely. And Denmark just went green.

Hey backers —

The early locks (OK calling three-years-delayed locks “early” might be a stretch😂) left the factory just before it closed for Chinese New Year this Friday.

They’re now on a train to our German warehouse and will be distributed across Europe from there.

we already screwed up some orders even before shipping. Wrong accessories in a few boxes. We fixed it.

And while I’m sure there will be more mistakes, I’m just as sure we’ll get it right in the end — and fix things along the way.

Denmark: done!

Since December, we’ve been buried in paperwork.

CE docs. Compliance. Recycling schemes. Forms about forms.

We’re finally done.

That means: the locks Danish backers are getting are Varefakta approved.

Boom.

We’ll shout much louder about being the first app-controlled lock on the Danish market once the tracker certification is also done.

(It’s a big deal — several large lock brands brought electronic locks to Denmark for testing and then gave up on the market.)

Thanks for sticking with us while we figure this out the real way.

Masochists on a shopping spree — fulfilment sneak start
7 months ago – Tue, Jan 13, 2026 at 08:20:14 AM

Hey backers —. Posting updates is surprisingly enjoyable when they contain good news. 😄

People started buying again in October.

Right after the low-point update.

No timelines.

No shipping date.

No approvals in place.

Either those buyers enjoyed pain — and losing money.

Or they could smell execution in the air.

Either way, those orders mattered.

They kept us alive when momentum wasn’t optional.

Fulfilment. Starting. Carefully.

Not a launch.

But we now have a limited batch of 180 units — steel locks, chains, and brackets — ready to ship.

We want to:

Get some of you the locks you’ve waited years for

Stress-test our logistics before full rollout

Shipped by the end of January.

“Wait — didn’t you say you were waiting for certification?”

Yes, but we’re allowed to code a limited number of locks for testing and logistics validation.

And you’ll probably want to shout to the world how amazing this lock is — especially if you lose your bike and get it back — do that — just wait with TikTok until we’ve announced tracker certification.

Black and copper versions — and insurance-approved versions — will ship once final approval is in place.

If you’re in Denmark or the Netherlands, it’s probably smarter to wait due to insurance coverage.

How to participate

Email:

[email protected]

Include:

Name

Backer email or number

Shipping address

We’ll confirm by reply if you got a spot.

Buy more! (yes, really)

Every lock sold still makes a difference.

The price is still the three-year-old backer price —

and that won’t last much longer.

Supply update

We’ve already produced 1,000 additional locks beyond fulfilment.

Upsells ship together with original orders.

And if you still feel like burning money instead of locking your bike:

NFTs exist.

Hype-coins refresh hourly.

Your call.

On a roll — after the low point
8 months ago – Mon, Dec 22, 2025 at 12:39:46 AM

Hey everyone,

Straight to the point:

We passed Varefakta.

And that’s a huge milestone.

Why Varefakta matters (a lot)

We are the first smart bike lock to pass all Varefakta tests.

Varefakta is the insurance companies’ testing and the gateway to the Danish bicycle lock market

(no approval = no reimbursement for stolen bikes).

It’s widely considered the toughest bicycle lock test you can find — in Europe, and arguably anywhere.

This isn’t a lab machine pulling in a straight line.

It’s real tools. Real attack patterns.

It’s how a real thief actually tries to break a lock.

That’s why passing it matters so much.

For Danish backers, it means insurance approval, which is essential.

For everyone else, it proves the lock you’re getting has gone from the beautiful but naïve product we sold you three years ago

to a world-class, real-world product built for abuse.

In the process of upgrading the locking mechanism, we had to scrap 3,000 shackles. That’s a small price to pay not to launch a lock that can be opened with a hammer.

What remains now is documentation and formal listing, which will be completed and published after Christmas.

Tracking certification

The mandatory tracking-related certification remaining.

Until this is passed, we can’t code the locks at the factory.

Best case: it’s cleared without further action.

Worst case: we tweak the firmware slightly.

Either way, this is now process cleanup, not product uncertainty, and it’s 100% software-related.

Real-world use

As many of you know, we recruited some of you backers as testers at Transparency Day.

Now, about six months later, around 20% of those testers had their bike lost or stolen have already gotten it back, thanks to the tracking.

You will love it!

Shipping expectations

Christmas is obviously not happening.

We now expect to start shipping in January, before Chinese New Year.

After that, we scale shipping after Chinese New Year.

As soon as the last certification is cleared, you’ll receive the survey.
